Your hard points. Your direction. A form you can hold.

Clayproof is a concept studio for vehicle exteriors. Give it a datum in millimetres and the character you want; it draws three views, makes a 3D form, measures it against your numbers and packs it for engineering.

Drawn in Clayproof

House concepts: a datum, a direction, two minutes each. AI-drawn and marked so; none is any maker's design.

How it works

  1. Set the datum

Wheelbase, tracks, overall size, wheels and tyres, ground clearance, how many people and how they sit. Start from a preset or type your own. The numbers are checked for physical sense before anything is drawn.

  2. Give the direction

The character you want, in words, and three tones: proportion, surface, stance. Your own references described, not pasted. Makers and model names are not drawn.

  3. Three views are drawn

Front three-quarter, side elevation, rear three-quarter, on a neutral studio backdrop, from the same seed so they agree.

  4. A form is made

The views become a 3D surface. It is scaled so its length is the datum's length, and from there every other number is measured.

  5. Measured against the datum

Length, width, height, ground line, estimated wheel stations, frontal area, silhouettes. Then the notes: wheel clearance, overhang coverage, the occupant box, draft and radii as a scale model would see them.

  6. Colour, material and finish

A CMF brief with six swatches, a two-tone rule, glazing tint and trim, written from the direction and the segment.

  7. Aero coming

A first reading of the form in moving air.

  8. A model you can hold coming

A quoted scale model from a fabrication partner, 1:4 or 1:5.

What you get

A package, not a picture. Every file is hashed and listed with its marking, and the outputs are assigned to you.

What it is not

It is a concept studio. The form is a tessellated surface for looking at, measuring and making models from; it is not a production surface and it is not engineering advice. The notes against the datum are a designer's reading, with the words pass, note and look again, and nothing more.

The views and the form are made by AI models and carry that marking in every file. Clayproof draws your design and not anyone else's: makers and model names are removed from a direction before it is drawn, and there is a route for a rights holder who believes a design is theirs.

Free, for a limited period

Access to the design studio is free for a limited period: ten generations every thirty days, one at a time, colour and finish on the form. The files are bought per design: the Designer package for engineering and CAD, the Game pack for your game or mod. Prices.
